The Supreme Court held appointment ceremony on August 1, 2017 for 25 new judges who have short-term legal experiences of three to five years.

As per the confirmed number of 132 judges with short-term legal experiences to be appointed this year as predetermined by the Council of Supreme Court Justices convened on February 16, 2017, 25 law school graduates were appointed as judges at this appointment ceremony.  107 of the 132 appointees were the graduates of the Judicial Research and Training Institute (JRTI) and were appointed on April 1, 2017.

The 25 new judges will be assigned to the courts across the country upon the completion of training program for newly appointed judges at the JRTI held from August 1, 2017 to February 14, 2018.
