Number of Courts
There are a total of 102 courts in South Korea. This includes the Supreme Court, 6 high courts, Intellectual Property High Courts, 18 district courts, 8 family courts, 3 bankruptcy courts, 42 district branch courts, 22 family branch courts.
Organizations
There are 7 key organizations associated with the Supreme Court of Korea, which include: the National Court Administration, Judicial Research and Training Institute, Judicial Policy Research Institute, Training Institute for Court Officials, Court Library, Sentencing Commission, and Inspector General for Judicial Ethics.
Municipal Courts
There are a total of 99 municipal courts.
Registration Offices and Bureaus
There are 168 registration offices and bureaus, comprised of 111 Registration Offices, 11 Registration Bureaus in Seoul Central, Seoul Eastern, Seoul Southern, Seoul Northern, Seoul Western, Incheon, Suwon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju, along with 46 Registration Divisions in each district court.
