[1] The principle of strict compliance in reviewing the terms and conditions of a letter of credit (L/C) and its exception
[2] The case which held that ""Hair Tail,"" ""Yellow Convina, White Convina,"" ""Chub Mackerel,"" ""Cod,"" ""Eastern Flat Head,"" described in the product description of the commercial invoice, cannot be deemed to be in accord either with ""OTHER KIND OF FISH (unit price $2,800)"" described in the L/C, because they are all ""$2,200"" in unit price, and they cannot be deemed to fall under ""OTHERS"" in ""Top shells and others"" described in L/C, because they are all fish, and therefore the commercial invoice does not correspond with condition of the L/C literally
[3] Whether the issuing bank should deny payment of the entire amount where the condition of the L/C and the product description of the commercial invoice are consistent with some products but not with others (affirmative), and whether the bank can claim reimbursement of the L/C amount from the L/C applicant, when the bank overlooked the above and paid the amount (negative)
