Honorable Chief Justice JO Hee-de submitted a recommendation to President YOON Suk Yeol for Supreme Court Justice candidates as required under Article 104(2) of the Korean Constitution.

The named candidates are Judge EOM Sang Phil, currently the Presiding Judge of the Seoul High Court, and Standing Commissioner SHIN Sukheui of the Sentencing Commission of Korea, also the Presiding Judge of the High Court. They are nominated as successors to Justice AHN Chul Sang and Justice MIN You-sook, who have retired after fulfilling their terms of office as justices.
