Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo of the Philippines visited the Supreme Court of Korea and paid a courtesy call on the Chief Justice of Korea. The delegation of 20 members, including Philippine Ambassador to Korea Maria Theresa B. Dizon-De Vega and Supreme Court Justice Jose Midas Marquez, accompanied the Chief Justice of the Philippines on this visit.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on the future direction of electronic litigation, international judicial cooperation, and bilateral exchange initiatives, with a primary focus on the “Enhancement Plan for Digital Transformation” for the digital transformation of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

The visit of the Chief Justice of the Philippines has served as an opportunity to solidify practical and sustainable exchanges between the two judiciaries by exploring ways to foster continued cooperation, particularly through expanding international engagement and establishing collaborative channels in the areas of electronic litigation and judicial digital transformation.
